Wine & Tourism Chair wins award

Iter Vitis

On October 15, 2024, EM Strasbourg's Wine & Tourism Chair, headed by Coralie Haller, was honored with the prestigious Iter Vitis Europe award, winning the title of "Best University Research in Wine and Cultural Tourism.” This distinction highlights the Chair's commitment to the field of wine tourism, underlining the importance of its research for the wine industry. 

 

The Iter Vitis international conference, held in Chisinau, Moldova, provided an opportunity to discuss the link between wine heritage and economic development. The event provided an opportunity to exchange views on

  • the economic impact of cultural wine tourism,
  • public support for wine and culture projects, and
  • wine tourism as a tool for cultural diplomacy.

 

Coralie Haller, associate professor at EM Strasbourg, had the pleasure of taking part in a panel of experts and leaders to discuss the influence of global trends in wine tourism on local economies in Europe.
